By ‘secondo’ the dining gets serious, in comes the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a fabulous cut on the bone, flame grilled with herbs. Delicious paired with a San Felice Chianti. Conclude with Chef Juan’s Sienese take on a Tiramisu.
There are hundreds of pasta shapes, each designed for the sauce typical to their region. Alessia and the Osteria team prepare a neat selection. Look for Crespelle, the fine Tuscan pancake, filled with asparagus, lemon and prawns. Maltagliati is the rough cut pasta from northern Italy which we serve with a butter and truffle sauce.
